evidences for Kinase-Phosphosite Interconnection

What is eKPI

The eKPI is a database which integrated the evidences of KPIs from omics datasets especially the multi-omics datasets based on the SIMPLE concept. At last we integrate and rank the potential of KPIs based on the 105 correlation data matrixes from 23 multi-omics research projects in 22 types of cancers among the quantitative datasets. The qualitative evidences were integrated from 275 research projects. In addition, all the experimental validated KPIs and the prediction results from softwares including NetPhos, NetworKIN, NetPhorest, GPS, PhosphoPICK, Scansite and MusiteDeep were also integrated for the 184,311 phosphorylation sites.

How to use eKPI

Quick Search

In the home page of eKPI, users can perform a quick search with the keyword(s) and simply click example and submit button to perform an example search.

Advand search

In the Search page, users can add more keyword boxes and choose 'AND', 'OR' or 'NOT' to perform a more accurate multiple keywords search. Users can simply click example and submit buttons to perform an example search.

Search result

In the Result page, users can view the search or browse results, and further filter them by the options we provide. More information about the protein is also displayed while users click the 'Detail' button.

Details

If you click "+", you can see detail information about this protein and this site. It contains four parts: (1). Prediction part includes 7 kinase-site prediction tools data in total. (2). Exp. part contains kinase and site interaction by experimental verification. (3). Quantitative part uses 23 quantitative data from multiple omics papers and quantitative data collected from the qPTM database. And kinase include three forms including mRNA, protein and phosphorylation. (4). Qualitative part contains qualitative data from qPTM database.

Predict

In the Predict page, users can search by entering gene name or UniProt ID of the kinase and substrate, and can make multiple selections through the plus button on the right, or change to exclude through the option on the left.

Predicted result

Researchers can perform direct searches to obtain eKPI predictions. The Phospho.probability column on the far right of the form represents the confidence of the prediction. A value greater than 0.5 indicates a positive correlation and vice versa.
